Quistion about recording en much much more :))

Hi i am Ser from the Netherlands

I have bought a macbook air + cubase and a lovely Focusrite Scarlett 18i20

I have got a couple of questions.
The VST instrument setting arrengend. Now i can play and hear my instrument.
But when i insert effects (reverb for example) i can't hear it when i am not recording.
The reverb is only active when i am playing the recording part.

How can i solve this problem?

How are you monitoring? You need to monitor the track that has the reverb on it, not just your outboard instrument.
