quiet power supply units

This is an AWESOME power supply - the best thing currently running IMO.

The 'HE' stands for 'High Efficiency', which means it actually produces less heat than other power supplies, thus needs less cooling - and costs less to run. The fan in this is absolutely whisper quiet. It also has modular cables to eliminate excess wiring in your case, can be adapted for both 20 and 24 pin ATX power, and aux. 12V and EPS12V CPU power.

Along with Antec's reputation for quality and reliability, this will cover ALL my PS needs for a long time to come. It rocks.

Thermaltake makes a fanless PSU. Something worth looking into.

I've tried Seasonic and SilenX Ixtrema. Both are quite good. I prefer SilenX (only 14dB of noise). If you have time, look on eBay. Someone was lucky enough to win a 400w SilenX unit for less than $40.
