Quiet Hard Drive...

Cool is right. SCSI though, expensive. 20dB would rock, bet mine put out over 40 easy.

After rereading, guess it isn't scsi. Suspicious. Seagate IDE drives have never impressed me much, but who knows.

To go off topic,

What about firewire drives? Anyone using these for audio? The throughput looks very intersting. They are not all that expensive either.
 
Are you sure it's SCSI? With a name like "BarracudaATA IV", I would have guessed IDE.

I thought it was SCSI at first too because of the name. I think it looks very similar to Quantum's Atlas name, e.g., ATLAS IV.

Isn't that basically TWICE the speed of any other ATA100 drive?
