Quick question

be suitable for recording a basic drum track. Not this item specifically, but a little drum machine like this one.
I plan on putting a Shure 57 right at the speaker and recording into my recording program (Sonar). WOuld this work?

That thing probably has a line out, and using that would be much better than mic'ing that little speaker.

That Yamaha unit looks pretty beat up, though.
