King of Bling
Hey guys, thanks...I keep forgetting this got resurrected.
You know, even though I love the song, it's the only one that I tracked with that cheap chinese mic, and it has just bugged the crap out of me, even though it's a simple mix. However, my daughter refuses to play to a metronome, so retracking JUST the guitar (she tracked it) would be next to impossible without redoing the vocal, which I didn't want to do because she tracked it the same day she wrote it, and there's just something about 1st takes that I never seem to be able to reproduce.
Anyway, by coincidence, "Sonusman" (banned here, I think...banned at RP also, lol)...he asked for the tracks yesterday, and he remixed it and kinda' hid a lot of the guitar problems with some creative editing. MOSTLY, he fixed a lot of bad shit that was going on with that mic. I'm not asking anybody to listen, I'm just posting this to let you guys know that I heard the problems too, and nobody should ever feel bad about pointing that stuff out, especially when somebody's ASKING for feedback, lol.
The new (last/final/printed/fukkin'DONE) mix is here:
