Questions about rack mountable things......

Heyy everyone... i'm new the recording world! and I have a few questions if anyone could answer them as fully/truthfully as possible that'd be "AWESOMEEE!!!!" Well...

I purchased an M-Audio MobilePre interface, to hook up to the computer and I want to get some cheap/usable software to get some alright quality recordings, anyways... I am looking at getting the following things tell me if this is a good start or what... any thoughts/comments would be awesome!!!...

- Behringer composer
- Behringer HeadPhone Amp
- Powered studio monitors
- MXL condenser mic (or something cheap)
- Nady Drum mics
- effects unit (of sometype)

what you've got looks ok for starting out. you should consider adding a small mixer to your list so that you can control the various sources you want to record, then feed the output of this into your card.

eventually you will need to think about dedicated mike pre-amps perhaps.
