I just went a little crazy I saw these items on eBay that where so cheap I had to buy them: ALESIS DUAL ZONE PAD 8IN x3 new for 71$ including shipping and ALESIS KICK DRUM PAD 8IN WITH STAND 50 including shipping! Now I need a brain, rack, three cymbals (crash, hi-hat, and ride) Hi hat control pedal, and snare. I already have a bass drum pedal and throne. I was thinking about getting a Alesis DM6 would that work with what I have so far? Also I was thinking about getting: Alesis DMPAD 12 inch cymbal pad x3 (are these dual zone i would really like a dual zone one for the ride?), and another dual zone pad for snare. Then I need help figuring out what rack and mounting hardware to get. I also need to know if all of these items are compatible with each other? I am trying to go as cheap as possible especially with the rack and mounting!

Thanks for any help!

As I've aged I've come to see it less as getting a bargain and more as paying for problems.

I hate to say it, but you might end up paying just as much for a piece together as you would on a used setup.

Any brain will work though, even the cheap ones will take at least a few dual zone triggers. The cheap ones tend to be limited on inputs (usually 3 toms, 1 snare, kick, hats, 2 cybals, and rid) and limited on select inputs being single zone (kick and toms). The sounds on the brain are almost certain to be junk on cheaper stuff, but if your just using it for midi all it good. If that does't bother you then go cheap.

I don't know how you are going to find a rack on the cheap without paying for some additional triggers.
