questions about gear.

ok well i was told i dont realy need a mixer
so instead i was told to get a preamp


so im thinking of getting the
m audio dmp3

my question is im going to be using a adiophile 24/96
sound card

will i be able to hook the dmp3 directly to the audiophile?
if not how would i do this or would this and is it best to do so?

i checked the manual of the dmp3 and they show a breakoutbox of a delta 66 that it can direct connect but i cant realy afford that sound card right now.

Yeah, you can connect any preamp with your audiophile card. Every preamp should have an input and output right? Hope your DMP3 has an output too:) ..........wait let me check.......ok here is the pic http://www.midiman.net/company/media/photos/dmp3.jpg
Looks like a 1/4" jack output. Well your audiophile card has a RCA analog input, so connect the preamp out (1/4) to the audiophile in(RCA analog) You are set. Good Luck!
