Hi all,

I'm new here, as I am to computer recording, so please excuse my potentially noobish questions :o

I think I know enough to get me started, but on of the last things I'm deciding on is which audio interface to choose.

Here's my demands:

- Midi interface:
Question #1: I have a keyboard without USB that I wanna use as master keyboard, so are there audio interfaces that have a midi interface intergrated, or should I get a seperate one?
Question #2: If I decide to get a new USB master keyboard, do I connect it to a seperate USB port on my computer, or could I hook it up to the interface as well?

- Don't need too many audio channels yet, 2 or 4 tops.

- Recording software included:
I heard some models have LE versions of Cubase, Sonar etc. delivered with them, which is just what I need to get me started.

- A friendly price would be nice. I'm an enthousiastic beginner, so I'm thinking 120 euros / 160 USD, unless extra features are really worth it.

- I'm running Vista, by the way.

Which brands and models should I look into? Can you advice me something or give some pros and cons? Anything else I should pay attention to when buying one?

Any help is appreciated!
