I actually checked this out 'cos I was thinking of buying a MOTU...how do you find it ?

Anywayz this is from MOTU's website...

MOTU Audio core systems ship with a standard Windows Wave Driver and an ASIO Driver. If your favorite programs have support for Wave drivers or ASIO drivers, you will have full multi-channel support with the 2408. All Motu Audio Hardware currently has support for Cakewalk Pro, Cubase VST, Logic, Cool Edit Pro, Samplitude, SAW, and Sound Forge. Any software that supports Wave Drivers or ASIO Drivers will work with your Motu Audio hardware.

I assume you are talking about Cool Edit Pro 2.0 ? If not, I'd check out on Syntrilliums Forums whether 1.2 supports 24-bit recording with ASIO drivers...
