Hey.

is it possible to program a drum track in cakewalk(vers. 9)
and run from the midi out in the pc to the midi in on a
drum machine and record the programed track from the
pc into the drum machine but with the sound of the
drum machine

Yes

For example, you can run MIDI track in Cakewalk to trigger your external Drum module, and record the audio out from the drum module back to Cakewalk and record it as Audio simultaneously. Make sure you insert audio track in Cakewalk, make necessary I/O setting, arm and hit record...
