What would be a good pair of monitors for about $500 at the most

Can you get them active?

Can the set be upgraded to a surround sound set up?
 
screw Surround Sound just get the wharfedale diamond series 8.2's they are awsome, according to all reviews on this site i'm getting them as soon as possible
 
have you heard them

i want to hear them so we should go to guitar center and see what they have
 
they dont sell them there, talk to deepwater on this site he'll work you out a deal he saves you 70 bucks
