Question for anyone with an M-Audio Firewire 410:
I am somewhat of a newbie, and my question may be equipment related, or may be just mixing/mastering in general -- How do I record stereo vocals ?
The 410 has 2 line inputs in front or back (4 including digital and S/PDIF), and outs for headset, or monitoring.
When recording, I run the mic thru input 1, and my mix (the other recorded instruments, MIDI, etc.) back thru input 2, in order to get it into the headphone mix.
Since all the controls allow me to select in/out on 1/2, 3/4. 5/6, etc., when I record, I always end up with my instrument mix in the right channel. How do I get a headphone mix, and record stereo vocals with just the vocals ?
Thanks
