I currently own Sound Forge 5. When I bought it, I was under the impression that the "lite" version was limited in it's ability to write MP3 files, but the full version (which I bought) was not.
However after I wrote a certain number of MP3 files, I started getting a requester telling me that if I wanted to write any more MP3 files, I had to pony up $20 to buy the MP3 "plug-in module".
This left me a bit pissed, as I would think that ANY serious audio editing program should have this ability built-in, without any limitations.
My question is this - I have not seen any great reason to upgrade to version 6, but if I do will I then have unlimited MP3 writing ability? Or will I have have to cough up even more money later? If the upgrade to 6 includes this capability, then it looks much more inviting....
