i copied this from you a while ago...

"Then, I bought Neutrik connectors from Full Compass. For my snake, I just needed female XLRs which cost $2.50US for 1-9 or $1.63US for 10-49. But I also bought some male XLRs for individual mic cables which cost $2.30US for 1-9 or $1.50US for 1-49." I was on the neutrik site and the majority of the connectors were "no tools required"... if my mind is with it, i would imagine that meant no soldering required, which i would believe would have less quality. soldering better then screwing or clamping? ok this is going to drag on for a bit. Also, this is for anyone, what type of solder do you use for the cable+connector connection, any special type, or just low impedence ie. higher quality metals. umm.. why not another question, do most cables fit most XLR connections? will they fit to RCA and 1/4" as well? :) thanks.

I use the Neutrik NC3MX & MC3FX XLR connectors. They're solder-type like most other connector type you might need... Maybe you were looking in the wrong area?

RS works fine for me.

Yeah. To make sure, find-out what the O.D. (outer diameter) of the cable is and what the Max. cable O.D. the connector will accomidate. If it's not on their websites, ask the sales person you might buy from. If they can't tell, buy somewhere else.
