question for all y'all midi mastazzz

here the deal, i have TC electronic g major. i have a ground control pro midi controller controlling it. they have a vyzor editor that runs on my computer to make presets and what not. can i get a midi y cable for the midi IN and connect both the pedal and the computer at the same time? i wont be using them simultaneously, its just so i dont have to change cables all the time.

There is no such thing as a midi Y cable. Midi is a current loop so you cannot just branch it. What you want is a merger like this: http://www.midisolutions.com/prodmrg.htm

No, it wont. DIN5 is not just used for midi, you could use it to split a Roland Dinsync signal for instance.
