Question about v67g -> VTB-1 -> Audio Interface

Hi, I've been using my v67g -> VTB-1 -> PCI M-Audio 2496 at the current moment with my PC at home. I have recently bought a Macbook Pro and is on the lookout for a Presonus Firestudio Mobile or some audio interface (may go USB 2.0 if i can't decide on a firewire one.) My question is this ok? Would I lose anything or will anything conflict the other? Mainly, I'm asking if this is the way to go?Thanks.
 
Maybe you could like, read the manual and see if it is compatible with your Mac.
