Question about the Tascam Pocket 5

I wondered if anyone was familiar with the Pocket5, and what anyone thought of it. I also wondered how many tracks can be recorded on it at once - is it all 4 tracks, or just 2 at a time? What type of external microphones does it accommodate? I can't tell from the stuff I've read.

I haven't used one of those, so I can't really offer up much opinion on them. I know they can't record 4 tracks at the same time though; judging from photos I figure it's 2 track simultaneous max, and I wouldn't be surprised if it only recorded one.

I imagine that if you just want something light you can carry around and record song ideas, the pocketstudio 5 could be pretty handy.

Two track max at a time, but even that sounds like it requires jumping through some hoops. The word "toy" comes up a lot. It claims to have a ton of features, but everything is implemented poorly. MIC jacks are 1/4".

I did research about a year ago, I was thinking about getting one... and after visiting forums and listening to recordings done on it, my opinion was they sucked....
