Okay so I bought a MXL V69i Tube and I am running it with the Behringer XENYX 1622USB ..... Which is the problem.....

I am running straight USB to my computer from the XENYX. I am not running anything else other than the microphone to the mixer.

I plug my headphones into the mixer and set everything to how it needs to be to record into Adobe Audition......

When I have my "SOLO" button unclicked I can hear the music from the computer just fine BUT I am getting a tenth of a second delay when speaking into the microphone. BUT when I click "SOLO" and the red light comes on, I hear myself in real-time but no audio comes from the computer.

I am confused and don't know what to do.

Any suggestions?

Yes, the only time I hear the music from the computer is when "SOLO" is off..... Just to show the button here:

The button circled in RED when pushed down the red light above it comes on "CLIP" and I can hear the mic in real-time perfect but no sound from the computer. It's like I stop hearing all sound from the computer period. But when it's off and the RED "clip" button is off, I hear everythign but there is a delay in the mic.

Hmm. Are you using ASIO or MME as your device class? Maybe lowering the buffer can help it sync better.

I'm gonna ponder on it for a while but hopefully someone who's more educated in USB mixers can help.

No, I do not use any of the sound from the computer, necessarily. I have my headphones plugged straight into the mixer, I just want to figure out how to hear my voice through the microphone in real-time and the beat/music from the computer I'm recording to.

I just don't know what to do......

I will circle in GREEN what I have pressed down, ORANGE is where I have my stuff plugged into, and RED is still the same as the last image......

I have tried every which way of hitting buttons to find different ways and have gotten nowhere. Anyone help? lol

Well poop on me, I got it working! ...... Thanks man. I forgot to, ignorantly, uncheck "listen to this device" on my computer...... LMAO

lol i'm glad you got it figured out. now make some good music!
