Hope this is the right forum for this... I am new with MIDI and trying to understand the intricacies.

I am using SFZ as a MIDI virtual instrument to play soundfonts. Some SF2 files have multiple instruments included (e.g. bright trumpet, dark trumpet trill, etc). Is there a way to include multiple instruments in a single MIDI track (and how do I specify this on the piano roll)? Or do I need separate tracks for the regular trumpet and the trills? I am using N-track studio v4 if that helps...

I'm not familiar with the software you use, but most MIDI sequencers let you send bank and patch changes right from the track. So if you have a least a small part of a second between the sustained notes and trillls, you could insert a patch change command to switch to the trills, play the trills, then go back. That's probably what I'd do in that case.
