Question about my 414 tracks.

On my tascam 414 multitrack, I use the stereo input for my drumset. However, this takes up tracks 1 and 2. Is there anyone our there who knows about these 4 tracks, because I think there is a way to record 6 tracks. (2 stereo inputs, 4 other tracks)

No.

You could probably send 6 channels in. I don't have one, but 4 tracks is 4 tracks. A lot of those things have 6 - 8 channel mixers, but when you send 6 mics or whatnot into it, you have to have a couple of them going to the same track.

You should ask in the Tascam forum, but I think they will say the same thing.

I guess thats what I meant. can you RECORD 5 inputs? (4 mono 1 stereo..so 6 mono inputs)

when i'm not mistaken there's an 8 input mixer on a 414 but i'm not sure about the routing options.
