I've got the Multimix 12 USB 2.0 Mixer, and I was wondering if it is possible to "multitrack" (have every input go onto separate tracks on my computer)
I'm not sure, but these mixer can't record more that 2 track at same time (left and right) using Main Mix Knob.
But i use alt 3/4 for listen and recording.
If u record a drums for example with 8 tracks, i don't know how the Alesis mixer will separate to the computer, it's bad i know, that's why i wanna sell it...
I record multitrack with soundcard direct to pc because my soundcard have 8 channel, and then i do the mix on Cubase LE software.
I supossed it is possible record only 4 track more than that i can't help you...i'm not sure how it works.
I think Sonic is right. You can only record 2 tracks (well.. one stereo track) at the same time with the USB 2.0 version.
I have a firewire MultiMix, and you are 'supposed' to be able to track up to 4 tracks at a time with it. That's why i paid the extra money to get the firewire version. But it is very wonky and doesn't work well (if at all). I should have saved my money....

And about using a Patchbay connected to multitrack card, it could be function?
I never try these, if u send the audio signal to a patchbay for example recordind a drums.. a then reroute the signal to a multitrack and to the alesis multimix and it is possible to record 8 tracks at same time seperate ones using multitrack software?
