Question about monitors

Hi guys, I have recently bought my first set of monitors (M-Audio AV-40`s) I know they are not top of the range or anything but suited my budget.

I have a set of Samson MS100 monitors stands and just wondered if there was any advantage to putting some acoustic board between the speaker and the stand?

Any advice would be awesome.
 
The stands are meant to decouple the monitors from the workstation. You shouldn't need additional acoustic foam on the stands, but if you feel too much vibration from them in the room, it couldn't hurt anything.
