question about monitoring

I recently reinstalled cwpa9 and now when I record a live performance thru sound card line in all other existing tracks are recorded with it. Before I reinstalled cakewalkeverything worked fine. Any ideas?

System:

ga-7vax with kt 400 chipset
amd athlon xp 2100+
80 gig wd 7200 with 8mb cache
realtek ac97 onboard sound :-(
1022 mb ddram
cwpa9
cwhs2000

Open the Windows Mixer and check your recording settings. Make sure What U Hear, or Stereo Mix (or some facsimile) is NOT checked.

Only Line In should be checked.

I tried that as well as muting everything but wav and line for playback. Still no luck!

oops...I had something else checked so I unchecked it and EUREKA!!! thanx 4 the help. I knew it was something simple
