Hello. I was planning on purchasing an M-Audio Audiophile Firewire, but I've decided to spend a little more and get the 410. The main reason for this purchase is to hook my turntables up directly to my computer to be able to record, and I'm also going to start producing music with Reason. The Audiophile is a 4-in/6-out and the 410 is a 4-in/10-out. I'm really not sure what the difference is, but the 410 is more expensive, so I assume it's better. Can someone help me out with learning the pro's and con's between the two? Thanks!

Here are the specs on the two.. If it's worth it to get the 410 and pay a hundred dollars more, please let me know.. If you think all I need is the Audiophile, let me know please..

I have a firewire 410, and its an excellent unit. The biggest difference would probably be the mic preamps. The 410 has 2 of them, the audiophile doesnt have any. Both of them kinda throw you off when they say "4 in" because 2 of the inputs are actually SPDIF digital ins.

What exactly does 4 in and 10 out mean? What usually gets hooked up to the in, and what usually gets hooked up to the out? I'm going to be hooking up turntables and eventually a midi controller. Also, if the biggest difference is the mic preamps on the 410, I don't think I need that.. I can hook a mic up to my mixer if I want to get on a mic.. I'm trying to get the one that will get the most use for what I need! I appreciate your reply...
