Question about Firewire box...

I recently picked up the M-Audio Firewire 1814... Since I am using a Powerbook for portability, I only have one firewire port. Does anyone know if it is alright to run this box (or any firewire I/O boxes) through a hub? I don't think there would be any problems, but just thought I'd ask before I fry my system.

I wouldn't expect any problems. Hubs are pretty transparent as far as the FireWire bus is concerned (buggy hubs notwithstanding). If you do run into any problems, try a different model/brand of hub.
