okay, i own the Boss 16 track digital recorder. When i am mastering the final tracks, it sounds great, but when i burn it to a cd, it loses so much power and i can barely hear some tracks. I CAN hear them on the Boss, but not on the cd. Anybody have experiance with this? thank you to all that reply.

If by "mastering" you are referring to the mixdown phase, sheer volume is not what you should be looking for. Overall balance, tone and musicality are what a good mix is about. If you are getting those in your mix, you are doing good. The final volume should be addressed in the mastering stage, which is a seperate process.

Somebody ban this retard.

I'm referring to the idot who jumps on every thread and posts meaningless shxt. Your question was a good one, but unfortunately I'm not familiar with your equipment. Hopefully someone can help you better.

He's doing it all over the forum. Just plain rediculous..

One question that I would have is are you comparing apples to apples?

If you're listening to the mix on one device and the CD on another make certain that their levels are matched.

naw I think he is talking about a specific mechanical problem with his unit and should probably contact boss.
