Seeker of Rock

Let us be unburdened by that which has been ?
I bought a 24 channel Gepco snake last year with Neutrik connectors to hook my board to my HD24. The individual cables as they fan out seem to use VERY thin wire, even thinner when I unscrewed the jack and looked at the 3 wires inside each channel run (3, they are trs). Is there a certain minimum gauge wire I should be looking at? I want to make sure I'm not creating a weak link in my signal path, but again don't want to overcompensate.
Ideas on minimum gauge for interconnects?

Here are some photos...first of the Gepco, then of a CBI I bought for the returns.

Inner wires, though the photo's a little blurry.

Now the CBI, also small but not quite as small on the outer shielding of the individual channel runs.

Most of the bulk you see with a typical 1/4" cable is not the wire itself, but the protective layers. In a typical snake cable they've done away with all that and you are left with just the wires themselves. So they look thin but in reality are the same as any other cable.

Thanks, Sonic...you are always quick to help me with my questions and problems, and I truly appreciate it. :) :) :)

I've never seen a snake with any thicker cables than that. You will be fine.
