Hello,
I have a Nady 920 series, condenser microphone, I had to reorder a new microphone, because the 920 mic fell, and it had a bunch of hum noises in all of my recordings after that, so i bought another mic by NAdy but it's a 900 series. I hooked the 900 series up the exact same way I hooked my 920 mic up, but when I went to record, I could barely hear myself period...i even adjusted the mic levels, but still barely could hear myself> also on the 900 series, it said that it was a "uni directional"...could some one tell me what does that mean? And could someone help me out, as to where they think my problem is coming from.

Thanks.

First off, is the phantom power on? Can you try another condenser mic and if that mic has the same problem it might be that the phantom power is not good/broken.

Uni directional means that the mic is sensitive on the front and less sensitive from the back and side. Omni directional mics are sensitive from all directions, though most omnis are a little uni for high frequenties.

hey thanks for the response..that may be the problem, because yeah I had the phantom power button pushed on..thanks again!
