Quantizing

I am used to doing my drums on an mpc 60 and using its quantizing, but now I am using my keyboard and Cakewalk pro 9. I can not seem to get my drums to to be on time. Can anyone give me tips or advise on the metronome setting or anything that would help me with this issue. Thanks...

when you record, play on-time so you don't need to quantize... ha-ha.

seriously though, i turn off the PC speaker metronome option, and use the port is have set for my drum machine (asr-x pro).

once you select the range in the track that you want to quantize, setting the note resolution (8th, 8th triplet, etc...) is very important.

also, i don't normally quantize 100%. i go about 75-80%.
