qs6>drum trigger

is it possible to somehow drive a qs6 synth with a seperate controller? more specifically, using a drum trigger to trigger synth sounds in real-time?
 
you can't use a drum trigger on it's own to drive the QS6 because the QS6 needs MIDI mesages whereas drum triggers send minute chages in votage usualy from a piezo-electric device. You'll also need a drum machine of some sort to convert the trigger signals to MIDI.

There is another option but I believe that it's a serious DIY electronic project and it allows you to do such a trigger to MIDI conversion.
