QS 7 Question

I have a Alesis QS7 obviously and I am having a problem with building a mix in the User bank. I have figured out how to assign the different sounds to the 16 channels (that took some time understanding that), but the problem I am having is when I play the mix I have built it only plays channel 1. I can build the mix using Sonar X1 music software program, loading all 16 channels with sounds and sending it to the QS7 and it will play all the voices I have built. But if I build it on the keyboard it only plays channel 1. Could anyone please

In MIX mode each midi channel output can be individually set to on or off. To check/change the midi output status try the following steps

1. Enter MIX Mode
2. Press the "Edit Select" button
3. Press the "90" button to enter the midi settings page
4. Press the "page >" or"< page" button until the display reads "MIDI Output" (note that the channel being edited is indicated in the top left of the display)
5. Press the up or down button to toggle the midi channel on/off
6. Press the number buttons corresponding to each channel (e.g. button 0 is channel 1, button 40 is channel 16) and set the midi output to on as above
7. Be sure to save the mix after you have everything configured

Thank you Erich for responding..... I have followed your steps and this is the results.... I am working with the Mix User bank 00. I have gone through and set all 16 channels to MIDI Output = On
Right now Channel 1 is Preset 3 64 Grand Channel 2 is Preset 1 Clavitube Channel 3 is Preset 3 3Draw Rock etc.... I won't list all.... When I play all I hear is 64 Grand... I don't hear any of the
other voices.... Am I misunderstanding what to expect?

Erich I figured it out....... Keyboard setting was also Off for all channels except 1. Set the keyboard on for all channels and I got all the sounds... Thank you for starting me on the
right path for the correct settings. Are you around quite a bit if I have any other questions? I just bought an SRAM card from a guy in Russia. Has lots of software with it including
all of the Q-Card voices... I finally got Sound Bridge to work with Windows 7... I hope it will write to the card. Should be getting it in about a week.... I have had this keyboard for
13 years and I really love it, but I have just used it as a keyboard and not messed with the synthesizer part as the reference manual is hard to understand. Course I don't totally
blame the manual, me being a newbie to all the jargon is definately a handicap. Thanks again for the help.....

Glad you got it working. I was thinking something like that just needed to be enabled. There are lot of settings to go through to get theses boards to do what you want. I check in pretty often. Feel free to throw out more questions. I too have had this board for ~13 years and am still figuring it out as well.
