I picked up a Peavy PVM 45i for 10 bucks yesterday. The tip of the cap is busted off, but in a manner such that it just *looks* bad.
I took it home & plugged it in. Sounds ok. Basically like an SM57 but with a lot more low end boom and it's a lot brighter on the top. Actually a good match I'm hoping. So far it seems to work well if I stick it near the bridge of my acoustic and the SM57 near the 12th fret.
So blah. My question is, does anyone have the specs on this mic? It's not listed at Peavy anymore as it seems to have been replaced by a 46i. I'm just curious.
Anyway, not bad for 10 bucks. They had a bunch more down there too in rough shape...from 10 to 15 bucks each (shure to 'audio spectrum'). I might just buy a few more for the hell of it
