I know this isn't the best forum for a computer question, but I know you folks better than anyone else, so thought maybe soemone is tech-savvy enough to answer this: I finished my song on my vf80, and made a CD, and ripped to mp 3. It's about 1.5 megs after ripping. For some reason, when I try to post it on my web site, the site only puts about 200k of the song on the link. It works fine, but only half the song. I have 10 megs of space allocated on the site. Why would it not let me add a link to an audio file of 1.5 meg? The d.asses at technical service don't know what an mp3 is.

thanks.

p.s. -- I suppose this gets easier. Right? I see so many kids seemingly effortlessly writing songs, converting to mp3, and posting links here for everyone to enjoy. I'm old and jealous!

You might check the terms of service agreement for your ISP. Some have limits on file size, ie: you get 10mb total, but only 200k per file. They may also not allow certain types of files, like mp3s. Your best bet would be to sign up for a free service such as nowhereradio.com to host your mp3s.

Good luck.

Are you uploading using FTP?

Remember to switch to binary mode first.

who's the host? I use nowhereradio b/c i saw others using it here and it worked nice. I'm planning a website too, but not sure if i will link to nwr or load off of my own space. i have yahoo for the host for my upcoming site change, interesting problem tho, i'll have to look out for it, keep us up to date.
