I'm having a problem punching in. Lets say I chop off the part of the track where I want to punch in. Ok, I punch in at that spot and finish the rest. Ok, now the problem is when i play it back I get a little pop or snap at the transition line. I'm playing along withit during before the punch in. It should see no different, but no matter wHat I do I always get this pop where I punched in.

There's gota be away to deal with this.................... anyone?

If you are applying large amounts of compression to the channel you will get a pop at the start and end of tracks (including punches) i found the way to get round this was to automate the track volume to cut off the first and last fraction of a second on the piece of audio.
Obviously this is cack handed, but it works.

yes your right my friend. I am using compression. thanks

Next time try to not cut the audio. Just punch in right over the top. The auto crossfades settings will take care of the rest for you. The pop or click usually happens where one wav file skips to another and it is not at a zero crossing.

Thanks. The crossfade worked awesome. Saved my recording. Thanks a heap.

I love you
