Hey yall after looking at a Standard 22 Paul Reed Smith I want one!
I found the one I like, Gold top finish stop tail/bridge.
Who has em and likes let me know ok.

I think I'm one of the few people that doesn't like prs guitars. I traded my sg classic for a standard 22 and couldn't stand it. it just didn't feel right or sound right to me. I do like the sound of them, but not for me. Cheers.

I've had a Custom 24 for about 3 years, and it's great. I still prefer my Strats, but that's just the style of stuff I play. When I need a heavier sound, the PRS does the job and it's more playable than any guitar I've ever picked up. They are quality guitars, but of course you are gonna pay for every bit of that quality. They are also relatively light, so when I switch from Srat to PRS I don't feel like I have an anchor around my neck. You can get a monster tone out of the thing if you work with it. And not like it's the most important thing, but most everybody from your grandma to strangers at a bar gig will probably ooh and ahh when they see your PRS... which can't be all bad. ;)

I have a 1985 Custom with a qulited maple top. Mine is an awesome guitar but it doesn't have a "classic" sound to it. I always end up playing my strats more that anything but when I play my PRS people tend to compliment the looks and tone...and I agree. If I was going to buy a PRS I would probably hunt down a used one from the 80's. The single cuts look pretty cool though.

PRS GUITARS

Ive had my PRS 22(Santana style)w/Dragon pick-ups for 8 years and can't imagine not having the tone posibilities
it provides...Worth every dollar..Tony GuitarMaker in Virginia can provide a 5 position switch (like a strat)..though Paul Reed is not keen on this idea !!!

I was wanting a new PRS McCarty model. The price mentioned (not quoted) was around $2,500. For the same amount of money I bought a new Deluxe Fat Strat and a Les Paul Classic. I've got loads of tone options and I love the necks on both guitars.

I own a '91 CE-24. People are just beginning to realize what incredible guitars these are. All the stuff before '95 is a step above what they are making now, and the CE-24's are a step above that. They used better components, and an alder body instead of mahogany. There are many other major differences, but suffice it to say, I couldn't live without mine. THe tone is so sweet and complex!
Be patient and look for a used pre-95. You won't be sorry.
