I've probably spent 2 years or more on the net, trying to get the "key word" that would let me find a good source or some FTP servers where projects are stored for trading.

If anyone know about the IRC Channels, or anyone knows about any other source with short portions of multitrack sessions, that would be great.

PM me

Just looking for demos of ProTools Projects from commercial songs.

I don't have a clue.

Maybe you should try the duc.

I'm betting nobody is/will post a PT session of a commercial tune... That would be like giving the keys to the castle away...

I know I'd never give my sessions out... I don't imagine any 'pros' would consider it either...

NIN offered up a song for a mix competition awhile back. Can't remember the link though. It was of their The Hand That Feeds song. I think the link is on this forum somewhere in the MP3 section

I know, don't get me wrong. In fact, i think we are all aware of that.

But there's always some toads on the net, who can share really good sources.

Some people who has the opportunity to put their hands on projects, upload them to ftp servers, for trading.

How to get there? who knows.

Joe Perry's last solo album had some kind of feature that allowed remixing...seems like it may have been for cakewalk though.

I wonder if when Dave Matthews Band "Lillywhite Sessions" album "leaked" if that was the project file or completed masters?

Yeah, obviously a pro producer wouldn't post a PT session or something, but I'm guessing there has to be some good producer (semipro, I guess ;)) who will just make a nice GOOD tutorial with a couple of examples.... And that seems a GREAT idea.... I'd love to find something like that...... ;)

Pink Floyd re-mixes

I am going to re-mix some Pink Floyd albums this weekend. Alan Parsons was gracious enough to shoot me some PT sessions so I could take a crack at giving them a little more artistic edge. But he is adamant about only letting me do the "Money" loop by hand with the original spliced 2 inch tape and a handful of pencils...I think I might be too busy this weekend to post, so see you all on Monday.

Glad to hear that Parson's FINALLY can admit that he just couldn't get it right.
