ProTools/PC suggestion

Anyone have a suggestion to as a PC to purchase for protools/digi001? Some site have it as "not yet compatible with XP" is that still true? i thought a work around was deviced. also i was looking at maybe getting the pc thru Dell. anyone experince any bad things with digi001 and dells? was the installation simple etc? any feedback is appreciated. thanks.

The compatabilty issue with XP may only be for PT free.
I think a mac is better suited for PT but its getting better with PC's. I would'nt trust a dell for audio apps. I would recommend building your own.

That tells you what is and isn't compatible with pro tools.
Pro tools LE needs XP and wont work with other windows OS.
Build your own computer if you can. Forget Dell's.

Why don't you go for the digi 002 rack?
It's much better than the 001 quality wise and has no pci card, just firewire.
