im trying to upgrade my software from cakewalk sonar 5 to protools 8. im currently running reason 4 as well. if i get protools 8 is there a need for logic 8? can i use both of them? if so please explain. thanks.

If you have pro tools 8 then there's no need to have another DAW, same thing
with Logic 8. They're both Digital Audio Workstations, they both do the same
things pretty much.
Logic is mac only, but PT works on both platforms. If you're running a mac,
all you have to do is decide which one to get
