Project 5 update makes P5 files corrupt??help

so i have made many tracks using p5 updated to P5 1.5. When i reinstalled windows on my computer and did the p5 update to my utter dissapointment most of my P5 songs would not load saying they were corrupted. i than uninstalled P5 and installed P5 without the update and was able to open P5 song files.
why is this happening??
any input would be great
