I've just posted a number of new songs on my site and would be honored if you took a listen. Feedback most appreciated.

Here are few direct links:

Acoustic guitar

Ambient-ish piece

There are several other recordings at http://www.billvencil.com/music

I've been a pair of Octava MC012s into a DMP3 into a Delta 44. Tracking sofware is Adobe Audition and FL Studio.

Thanks for listening!

joyfound - acoustic piece recorded very well. Bright and clear with lots of tone. Sounds like I'm sitting right in front of the player listening. Fabulous playing on both lead/rhythms Bill, very expressive and dynamic.

Any hints you can give to the instrument/signal chain would be cool.

Well worth the listen....

Line of despair - warning - long piece so be ready to listen (8:48)
0:00 ...relaxing at first like being in the planetarium....(not sure why I chose that...lol).
Rough Times and observations as I listen:
1:30 - Build up sounds like guitar but different... percussive...
2:00 - more moody tones...relaxing again....
3:30 rain there? Interesting effect...
4:00 - Strings around there are cool....
5:20 - more rain/static....builds tension
6:00 - multi-voices like a choir - cool
7:25 - relaxing again...mellow woodwinds out to end

This would be a very soothing piece for many things - movie, documentary, videos, my dentist's office (he plays cool stuff like this to relax us in the morning while he drills us.....(lol)..

Very Cool Bill - like I said - well worth the listen. Thanks for sharing......

:) :D :) :D

Thanks a lot! Loved your description of Line of Despair. That piece, along with "Wash the World Away" is meant to be part of a larger grouping of background music for a multi-media art show.

The signal chain was as follows

1. A pair of Octava MC012s, one pointed at the body/neck joint, the other pointed at the bridge area, each 15-18" away.

2. DMP3 pre.

3. M-Audio Delta 44

4. Adobe Audition / Fl Studio tracking. Audition mixing.

Loved line of despair, but hey, im a sucker for ambient stuff.
