Programming MPC into Cubase with Midi

Hey Im currently trying to program my MPC sounds into CubaseSX. Im unsuccesful, Im going out of the MPC into my Midi interface IN. Nothing its happening. What is the correct way to do this. What settings do I have on the MPC and Cubase SX.


MPC 1000 by the way.
 
You can't do what it sounds like you're thinking -- program your sounds in Cubase. You can send MIDI messages from Cubase that will trigger the sounds on the MPC, but the sounds themselves cannot be transferred via MIDI.

Thank for the reply. This may be what I am looking for, Ive tried tutorials but Ive failed in all of them I cant even get cubase to respond with my mpc. Ive seen tutorials where they press place on cubase and it does it on the mpc I cant manage that. Could you help me?
