Hello,
I could not find any professional DIGITAL mixing & recording consoles or rack modules. Am I blind or is it that no one entered that realm of business yet? If there are some, please point me to them. But, if there trully are none, would you like the idea of a digital mixing/recording console or customizeable digital rack system that is able to symultaneously record multiple tracks on a PC through one optical cable (fiber optics)?
The console and/or the rack system would have multichannel modules. Each module would perform a specific task: mic pres and best quality AD conversion; eq-ing & ballancing; etc.; digital effects; fiber optics to PC hardware & software for realtime recording and playback; hardware for DA (aka soundcard :D).
I have seen M-Audio products, and they are aimed to amateurs/musicians/home recording. If you have/would have a proffesional studio/venue, would you pay for such a system?

so I need to find another idea hahaha
I just saw yesterday teh one roland has but its really really stripped down... but neat ideas. its an actual integrated "PC" with mouse and keyboard and monitor outputs...

though if you have any ideas of what you need and couldnt find, please tell me.. this "business" busness is not as easy as I though... and business schools are useless
