Production Studio

I was thinking about different options for studios. I kind of want just a production studio. I want to run my production company through the production studio. I dont really need to record so my real question is : What do i need to have an acutal production studio(just to make beats and instrumentals out of)?

"production studio" is as loose a term as "producer".... it depends. What are your skills? Is it a multimedia production facility? a preproduction facility? do you just make beats? etc. etc. Only you can answer what you will need based on what you will offer.

for making beats

All I use for making beats is MODPLUG TRACKER and COOL EDIT PRO. Modplug is freeware, you can find it about anywhere if you do a search on tracker programs. It may take you a bit to learn the basics of tracker programs but it will benefit you, if you are on a budget. Cool Edit Pro is only about $300 to register (i think). It is not top of the line, but you can still produce quality music on a budget.
