Wrote this song/recorded it over the wkend, I'm needing some help with production issues. I'm going to re-record it again either this coming weekend or the next, so I'm not too worried about the mixing at this point, just wondering what I should change are mabey even add to the song, and would like any feedback I can get. The name of the song is "Never let them see you break" . www.javamusic.com/555 Thank's...David
Guitar seems a little thin... doesnt sound mic'ed to me, pod-ish.. what are you using on everything?
OVerall volume seems a little low, too, but I'm hearing lo-fi download, so dont take anything too seriously...
I wish I could mess with it cause I hear alot of stuff that I'd like to mess with, but its impossible from this end.
Post your retake when you get it done...
Hey tubedude,,thanks for listening. Pod-ish indeed?. No it's a Laney V650 miced up with a 57 and AT4050cm, but I do agree with you, it is thin (to many shotgun shells in my right ear) nothing to be grining about though, just have a hard time with high freq. Btw...this is just a rough mix and really looking for sugg, on song structure...for instance do I need a better hook? Are there too many guitars involved? Song is too long? Song to busy? Need to trash it, it sux overall? Need to post this in the Go@#*! songwriting Forum cause this is the mixing clinic?
Thanks tubedude...I'll work on the thin tones when I record this again...
