So how have your experiences been with the toneport? have the sounds been impressive?...how easy is it to record with?...have you had to do much editing on a guitar track after you have recorded it? Have your produced any demo's or band cd's using the toneport? Basically i would like to know how it performs in a setting where it IS the way you will be recording your guitar and bass tracks for a demo that you would like to achieve a higher qaulity of sound for....it seems really convenient and i have heard that if you know how to use it you can make some great sounds with it

A lot of folks here do nto care for amp modeling and Line 6 POD sounds, but if you like the sound you get ... I use a combo of Gearbox sounds and the built-in effects on my Boss BR600. My old Fender amp collects dust - and really only got one decent sound out of it, anyway.

Demo quality? Yes:). Professional or Semi-Professional Quality? Get or rent a tube amp with a good mic into a good preamp.;)

I use the UX1 with the gearbox plugin. More and more I find myself splitting the signal via a DI box (Countryman type 85 fet box) on the way in and recording one channel clean to run through the gearbox plug later at mixdown.

Maybe there's just too much to choose from or I don't really know what sound I'm after till the mix starts coming together. Either way, I love the flexability and very good results can be had from it. I'm not a preset user, I like to tweak everything but I have had some better than decent results from it.

It was used on the track "All that was" on all the electric guitars, NOT the acoustic HERE
