processing questions

Hello people,

A couple of quick questions:

1. On tracks with the mic on with no signal such as vocal sections between parts, should I insert silence before effects or after or does it matter?

2. Should I use VoiceTweak before other effects. I've learned that it doesn't seem to matter with other processing but I thought this one might be different.

Well, don't INSERT silence, just TRANSFORM the non-vocal parts to silence. Yes, do this before anything else.

What is Voice Tweak?

Thanks. I meant transform. I also think the program I was refering to was vocaltweak. Too much whiskey last night maybe. Anyways if you're still not familiar with it, it corrects/transposes/modulates etc. vocals.

I went ahead and did the silence trans. prior to processing but I ran into a little problem that I hadn't expected. By placing markers right up to the visible wav,
a couple of sections came in sounding rather abrupt. I won't make that mistake again. I'll leave a
little "breathing room".
