I just got the samson g-track as my second recording mic. I'm a beginner, and from what reviews I got it sounded like a good mic. It's a great all in one mic, but I just use it for recording my vocals, and when I play it back, my vocals sound like theres too much dead air...I can't really explain, but my voice doesn't sound as powerful as it could be even though I'm standing super close to the mic. But if I increase the mic volume the waves go over the top, so that's no good. I'm also recording with the mastered versions of karaoke tracks, so I don't know that could be causing problems or what...but is the samson g track all that good to record with, or what can I do to get rid of the dead air?
