Hey everyone, this is my first post here and it's a newbie question... I've got Presonus Firebox and it came with Cubase LE. I've added an audio track to the project and I'm recording my guitar through the mic, however, it also records the metronome! I've tried switching it off and using a simple VST drum machine and it picks it up as well :( Don't really know what to do... Please help!

Double click the speaker icon in the lower right toolbar on your screen. Then click options/properties and choose recording. Deselect everything except line in and that should fix it for you and welcome to the BBS.

NYMorningstar, that didn't work unfortunately... i changed the settings as you said. they are only for my laptop's built in soundcard, presonus firebox has its own mixer software...

I'd try changing the setup in it's own mixer then. It should work the same way.

Does it record the metronome onto a seperate track or are you just hearing the metronome through playback? I have SX3, and I can go into the metronome settings and shut off the metronome in playback by unchecking the playback box.
