ok, so sometimes when i record i get a loss of signal and some crackling, (im using a SE Electronics Z5600a mic going into a focusrite platinum voicemaster pro into my ESI Waveterminal soundcard breakout box then into my pc)
and when i click the phase reverse switch the crackling will dissapear and the signal will come back, but even with the phase reverse switch on this still sometimes occurs, does this mean my pre amp is faulty?
this never happened when i had a condenser mic running into my pre!
and the strangest thing is, when i have process bypass swithced on, on my pre everything is fine,
and i only use the optical expander and compressor on the pre!
